Schoolboy Zidane

Recently, I happened to get three doujinshi from the "Maniac Junkey". It' s got a bunch of characters from Final Fantasy VII through X-2 just attending school in a somewhat normal fashion. Well, not really normal at all, but it would take far too long to get into all the details. Zidane and Tidus are best friends (In a STRAIGHT way, even!) and I really like it when Zidds is considered part of the group and not just ignored because he’s different So, I wanted to do a Zidane and Tidus pic, but for some silly reason Tidus was drawn better than Zidane. Go figure. So I tried to do a decent picture of Zidaaaaane. Because he’s so cute!

He was drawn on paper with a pilot Futayaku brush pen (It’s a shodo thing). Then I scanned it and added the background digitally. Yes, the chain link is hand-drawn. Yes, there was some copying and pasting done. Yes, it was still a pain in the butt. I’m somewhat happy with it. I kinda like the clouds, myself.

Doesn’t it look like it’s from a bad teen magazine? “Page 32: We score tail with Zidane!”
